John MacKenzie
Team Rector/Co-Area Dean
John is Team Rector for the parish of Ashford Town and holds responsibility for the pastoral area around Willesborough, Sevington and Christ Church South Ashford John is blessed to be married to Sophie since 1991 - they have a son, Jacob, whom they love and with whom they are well pleased. John has loved God all his life - though not always the church! They came back to church after a long absence through their wedding banns being read. He enjoys all sport - especially Chelsea Football, England and Kent cricket and England rugby. He used to play hockey. On a day off He can normally be found watching a film somewhere with a friend.
Caroline Mansley
Team Vicar/Co-Area Dean
Caroline is Team Vicar for the pastoral area covering Kingsnorth and Shadoxhurst. Caroline arrived in Kingsnorth in September 2016, having moved from the Church of Ireland where she was ordained in 2011 and served as Curate in Kesh, Co. Fermanagh. Her work background is mainly in Sales, including Educational Publishing, both in N Ireland and in Devon and Hampshire. Caroline is married to Nigel and has two grown-up children; Chris still in N Ireland and hoping to join them and Jessica who is married to Ross with two grandsons, who live near Eastbourne. She enjoys English summers, good coffee and chocolate, Spain and France.
Eve Lanchantin-Piggott
Team Vicar

Eve has been team vicar for the pastoral area of Kennington since August 2016, having already served in the Ashford area as curate at St Mary's Asford under Colin Preece from 2007-2010, Prior to that, Eve was a minister in the French Reformed Church from 1997 to 2006 after having worked as an English/French/Arabic translator. Eve is married to Michael and together they have seven children and fifteen grandchildren. 

Richard Bellamy
PRIEST TO ASHFORD TOWN CENTRE & ASHFORD SCHOOL CHAPLAIN
Richard is Priest for the pastoral area covering Ashford Town Centre. He is also Chaplain to Ashford School. Richard and Carol have been married for almost thirty years. They have two sons, James (23) and Tom (19). After further education in graphic arts, Richard spent six years in commercial practice before joining Mission Aviation Fellowship in 1990 to manage the design and production of all supporter communications. He joined the Rainbow Centre team in 2011 supporting homeless and destitute people for five years before managing a government funded sustainability project. Richard was ordained in 2010 and served the first half of his curacy as a self-supporting minister in Cheriton with Newington benefice
Nathan Wilson
Lay Missioner
Nathan joined the team in September 2017 Nathan has lived in Ashford the past 14 years and has been a part of Singleton church for this whole time. He is passionate about communicating the gospel in a relevant way, and making church a place where people want to be. For the past 7 years he has been working in Schools and has joined the Ashford Team in the new Missioner role. Nathan is married to Sarah who works for the Diocese of Canterbury in the Children Schools and Youth Framework

Dawn Stamper
Assistant Curate
Dawn is Assistant Curate to the Ashford Team particularly working with John After working in London for many years Dawn moved to live in Pluckley and now lives on a smallholding with her husband Jonathan and children Peta and Stanley. Although it has gradually become a very smallholding, she still has the daily routine of looking after a few animals and a fruit and veg patch which is the perfect antidote to a busy work life in her role as a self-supporting priest within the Ashford ministry team.

Dawn Evans
Ignite Enabler

Dawn joined the team in Sept 2018 for 3 years to work alongside us as an Ignite Project Community Mission Enabler.

She will work in the areas around St Francis Church and Christ Church South Ashford.

For the past few years Dawn has been teaching, firstly at Canterbury Christ Church University and more recently in The John Wallis Academy. She lives in Dover and has been worshipping in St Paul’s Church Margate, where the Ignite Project began, for the past 18 years.

Phil Sibbald
Team Development Officer & Ashford Deanery Lay Chair
Phil joined the team in March 2017 to support with many different projects in the development of the new Ashford Team. Prior to that, he worked for 10 years for Dow Jones International Limited in London. Phil’s main passion is music and started playing the piano at 7 years old and classical singing at 16. Phil has also been Director of music at two local areas in the parish between 2005 & 2017 Phil has an active life in the church being Lay Chair of Ashford Deanery and the Canterbury Diocese and may other roles. His hobbies include Genealogy and Imperial/Royal History and the odd bit of bling 🙂
Emma Bishop
Local Area Administrator - Great Chart
Emma has worked as the Parish Administrator for Great Chart and Singleton, and more recently St Francis, since May 2012. Before this she worked in Merchandising in London before relocating back to Ashford to have her first child. She really enjoys the variety of the role, and love dealing with different people. No two days are the same, and even now she come across things she not dealt with before, which just adds to the interest of the job. She now has two wonderful sons of 2 and 6 and they keep her very busy! Their weekends involve lots of junk modelling, painting and playing outside collecting leaves and sticks! They have recently started camping which the boys, she and her husband, love.
Sue Sawyer
Local Area Administrator - Kennington
Sue joined the Local Area Team at Kennington in April 2017 Sue is an Old Dovorian but has lived in Ashford for 32 years and attens St Mary’s Ashford where she served in various capacities, currently as Local Warden. As manager of the Volunteer Centre for many years she had the privilege of working with wonderful teams of volunteers. She is not a great walker but enjoy's cycling (in dry weather only); like gardening, driving and reading; love the theatre and her children and grand-daughter (soon to be joined by a brother).
Helen West
Local Area Administrator - Kingsnorth
Helen joined the Admin team in April 2017. Helen is also the verger for Shadoxhurst Church, which is now a Chapel of Ease. She is married to Ron and they have two sons, Milo who is married to Catriona and Carl who is engaged to another Helen. They have a beautiful daughter named Anna. Her only grandchild, so she's slightly biased! Who gives them great joy and keeps us busy. She has been a nurse all of her working life, retiring two years ago. She started out at sixteen on the wards and ended at a GP surgery as a diabetic specialist nurse. Her hobbies are reading and gardening now that she has time to indulge in them.
Libby Varley
Local Area Administrator - South East Ashford
Libby is the Local Area Administrator for the South East Ashford area (inc. Willesborough, Sevington & Christchurch). Libby has worked as the Parish Administrator for Willesborough with Sevington since 2008 and more recently Christchurch and Ashford. Libby is also a local warden at Willesborough where her and her family have worshiped for some years. She is married to Paul and they have an 18 year old daughter who has just started university, a 14 year old son and a 9 year old dog. Libby enjoys spending time with her family.
George Wheeler
Hall Hire Administrator
George is the team Hall Hire Administrator. George joined the team in January 2018. As well as this, he works full time for an insurance company in Ashford. In his spare time, he can usually be found treading the boards in local shows including the yearly pantomime at Christchurch Hall every January. As well as performing, he also enjoys having a busy social life and spending evenings with his friends
